Apple is planning a radical iPhone overhaul for its 2020 iPhones

Revenue from iPhone sales make up a huge part of Apple’s revenue and following the huge slumps in iPhone sales this, Apple is planning the next big iPhone upgrade which may debut in 2020 which will motivate sales to dd to the millions of iPhones already sold.
Acclaimed industry insider Ming-Chi Kuo has leaked Apple’s grand plans for its 2020 iPhones via Forbes. This leak is coming at a time Apple is preparing to unveil its next iPhone, the iPhone 11 which is quite underwhelming when compared to the planned 2020 iPhone.
Kuo reveals that the 2020 phones will be the edition apple adds many of the features that will please the crowd, features it will skip in its upcoming iPhone 11. Some of these features will include true 5G connectivity as stated by Kuo – something the 2019 models will controversially skip.
Apple may drop the now stale design of its current phones, the iPhone Xs which debuted with the iPhone X and may continue to the 2019 models. Kuo states that 2020 will be the year we see Apple deliver the first major design change to the iPhone since the iPhone X. This design change will also feature phone size reduction, shrinking the 5.8-inch model to 5.4-inches and increasing the 6.5-inch Max to 6.7-inches. This feature will surely please fans of the iPhone SE as the 5.4-inch model will be a truly pocketable and powerful iPhone since the iPhone SE. The 2020 iPhone XR will remain at 6.1-inches and skip 5G (coming in 2021) but step up to a premium OLED display for the first time. A new punch-hole display is also tipped for all 2020 models.
Looking at the leaks of the 2019 iPhones, Apple’s 2019 iPhones just look like a refresh of its S-refresh of the iPhone X. this will be the third year apple is sticking to the same design. However, this is not surprising as the iPhone 6 through 8 have had mostly the same design language.
Unless you absolutely have to buy a new iPhone in 2019, I will advise you not to. Wait for the 2020 models lets see what Apple will have for us. However, the 2019 iPhones does seem to have some quite respectable features though are features catching up to the competition such as upgraded rear cameras, a larger battery and (maybe) USB-C, improvements in louder speakers, Bluetooth music sharing and a camera Night Mode (which should come to almost all models in iOS 13).
