It was the first public park in the whole of the US and hosts everything from simple picnic areas and green spaces to the Frog Pond and softball fields.
It also marks the starting point for the Freedom Trail, which is a walking tour that takes you around the city to visit sixteen different sites of historical and cultural value.
Boston is great for walking, so you can venture out of the Common and stretch your legs if you like.

In Boston, each season is distinct.
Summers are hot, with plenty of sun allowing everyone to enjoy the season, while winters are cold. People often use the Frog Pond for ice skating, and there’s often plenty of snow around.
