Sena’s ‘purification’ of Bal Thackeray memorial exhibits Talibani mindset: Fadnavis

The BJP on Friday slammed the Shiv Sena’s “purification” of the Bal Thackeray memorial after Union minister Narayan Rane’s go to there.

Opposition chief Devendra Fadnavis stated, “The Sena’s ‘purification’ on the memorial might be equated to a Talibani mindset. Those that indulged in such an act haven’t understood Bal Thackeray’s Shiv Sena. It’s unlucky.”

On Thursday, some Sena leaders “cleansed” the memorial with cow urine after Rane visited Shivaji Park and provided a floral tribute to Bal Thackeray.

Fadnavis stated, “In a progressive state like Maharashtra, such an act of shuddikaran was ridiculous and stunning. It was unacceptable. It additionally mirrored the modified mindset inside the Sena.”

Rane dismissed the incident as senseless. “What can one say about Sena. It’s not Balasaheb Thackeray’s social gathering. It has modified. Bal Thackeray by no means compromised on Hindutva. However right now, for energy, Sena has compromised its core agenda,” he stated.

“I needed to wade by means of mud to achieve the memorial. It’s in pathetic situation. As an alternative of purification, it might be higher if that they had targeted on setting up a grand memorial,” he added.

Rane, who began his Jan Ashirvad Yatra from Mumbai, will journey to Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri districts in Konkan.
